Mickey is a dark brown (almost black) and white gelding
born in 2000.
He has no official papers but is registered with the Swedish Warmblood
Association as
a Dutch-bred of warmblood type.
I've had a predilection for
piebald horses since I was about 12 years old. I always told
anyone
who wanted to listen that 'when I buy my own horse, it will be a
piebald, black
and white or brown and white didn't matter'.
Here he is - Mickey came to us August 17th 2004, at Poppers 5th
birthday.

The reason I was searching for a horse right then was that I'd cared
for a Swedish warmblood
for 12 years, and suddenly he was for sale.
The owner and I couldn't come to an agreement on
what price I should
pay for him, so she had to take him back.
My new (own!) horse should be a new companion, able to compete in
smaller competitions and
someone to have fun with.
I went to try three other horses before I found this magnificent
gelding on the internet.
I called the seller and went to see him the next day - and fell head
over heels! His eyes had IT!
If he was the least rideable, I just had to have him.

Pictures from the first day I saw Mickey - the seller shows him to
the left and I have just
mounted to the right.
Mickey is called Mickey Mouse, because it fits his
personality better than his real name, Mike Dundee.
He is a big horse (at least 172 cm at withers) but sometimes he acts as if he is small as
a mouse.
Mickey has competed in Prix St Georges and
Intermediare I with very good results.
He trained and competed with Jari Lindmark. Due to a massive bronchitis, he was
on sick-leave for
about a year, and now he has recovered enough to work a little and live as a
companion horse.
I have a great helper in Cissi to see to it that Mickey has everything he needs
- also work :o)

September 2nd 2007 Mickey & Jari served as "showing equipage" at
Ribersborg in Malmö, they showed
"Dressage with Kristian von Krusenstierna" (who
has competed in the swedish international dressage team)
and it looked like this:

We also have two other horses in our
stable, - they are Mickeys friends and
owned and cared for
by some other people.
We have a yellow cat in the stable.
His name is Audi.
Our cats are named after car brands, since the cat who lived
here when we moved in was called
Mercedes. We have also had
Alfa, a female which sadly was hit by a car and died in december-08.
A short period in 2009 we had Isabella, she moved and didn't tell
us where she went.
